Thomas absolutely nailed this one. The Hate U Give is far more deserving of being a “classic” novel than those currently in the category. I absolutely loved this story, and it is oh-so relevant to today, yesterday, and the future.

There is truly a character for everyone, a subplot for everyone, and an emotion for everyone. Please go read this book. I hope it becomes required reading in high schools across the world.

The Bechdel Test was easily passed.
